Spyderco Endura 4 Trainer Knife

Trainers or drones are non-sharpened knives that allow for the safe practice of Martial Blade Craft (MBC). They let the user learn deployment/retrieval techniques, perform drills, and develop confidence and muscle memory without risking cutting themselves or others with a sharp blade.
The Endura Trainer is identical in weight and size to the 'live' model. To enhance the balance of the piece we've tapered the unsharpened tip and drilled holes through the blade, removing unnecessary bulk. Volcano grip texturing on both sides of the handle put the brakes on your hand slipping while training. All Spyderco training models have red handles designating them as non-sharpened. Tip-up carry.
*Endura trainers also fit the bill as a unsharpened practice knife to safely teach non-knife people the fundamental movements in safely opening and closing a folder.

Spyderco Endura 4 Stainless Steel Knife

Introducing the new stainless Endura 4, it fills your palm with a handful of steel yet doesn't seem weighty or unwieldy. Knife Knuts who prefer something heavier and stouter seem to gravitate to steel handled knives. Since the handle surface is flat and smooth it offers an ideal palette for engraving and personalizing your knife. As part of Spyderco’s CQI™ (Constant Quality Improvement) philosophy the C10SS now offers improved ergonomics – added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping, a larger thumbhole, a stronger thicker tip and a new 4-way clip design (R/L reversible & Tip-up/Tip-down).

Spyderco Delica 4 "Wave" Knife

If knives could be created in the same way we choose players for fantasy football league teams, every hardcore knife knut would recruit features and characteristics they like best from different knife companies and combine them into their favorite knife. Spyderco will undoubtedly fulfill many knife knuts knife fantasy picks with the introduction of the Waved Delica and Endura. Waved models combine all that’s functional and performance-based in a Spyderco folder with the Wave Blade-Opening feature made popular and patented by Ernest Emerson of Emerson Knives. The Wave is a hook curving out the top of the knife’s blade. When removing the knife from a front pocket the Wave catches the pocket’s edge quickly opening the knife blade ready to use. The knife can also be taken out of the pocket without engaging the Wave Opening Feature by pulling it straight up and out with your fingers on top of the closed blade. Waved Delicas and Enduras have screw construction making cleaning and adjusting easier. Their gray fiberglass reinforced nylon handles are molded with Bi-Directional Texturing® for traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners strengthen the knife without additional weight and create an anchor for external and internal components to attach through for more sturdiness and rigidity. Their VG-10 blades are flat saber-ground with a stronger tip and larger 13mm opening hole. Added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping. Phosphor bronze washers smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed clip.

  • Length overall 7 5/32" (182 mm)
  • Blade length 2 29/32" (74 mm)

Spyderco Delica 4 FRN Lightweight Knife

In 1990 Spyderco shook things up by introducing two knives, the Delica and Endura. First of their kind on the market, both folders opened up the knife market to lightweight performance, one-hand open pocketknives that just about everyone could afford. They settled as Spyderco’s top two bestsellers and their improvement hasn’t slowed since. Refinement has been so ongoing and continual Spyderco tagged the updating/upgrading process with the term CQI- Constant Quality Improvement. During the Endura and Delica’s CQI journey Spyderco tweaked ergonomics, refined blade steels and fine-tuned their performance countless times. They are an evolutionary work in progress and the next level is here with the new Endura4 and Delica4. Both models now have screw construction making cleaning and adjusting easier. The fiberglass reinforced nylon handles come molded with Bi-Directional Texturing® for preferred traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and make an anchor for all external and internal components to attach through adding sturdiness and rigidity. Their VG-10 blades are flat saber-ground with a stronger tip and larger 13mm opening hole. Added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping. Phosphor bronze bushings smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed clip.

Spyderco Delica 4 Trainer Knife

Martial artists and MBC practitioners all follow one cardinal rule, safe practice and training. Learning drills, actions and reactions with an unsharpened training blade allows you comfortable and realistic practice without the consequences of meeting a sharpened edge.
The Delica trainer has the same features as its live counterpart -- minus the sharpened cutting edge. Holes drilled out of the blade and an upswept tip, take away a small amount of weight and make the piece balanced in the hand. Stopping the knife from slipping and sliding, the handle is deeply textured in Spyderco's volcano grip pattern. By making the FRN handle red, it's designated and easily recognizable as a training model. The black metal clip is ambidextrous and positions the knife in the pocket tip-up.

  • Length overall 7" (178 mm)
  • Blade length 3" (77 mm)
  • Blade steel AUS-6

Spyderco Byrd Stainless Steel Cara Cara2 Knife

Upgrade alert! byrd knives are the subject of several bright and fresh engineering refinements for 2010 with improved ergonomics, four-way clips and full-flat ground blades. Like Spyderco knives, byrd knives are subject to our penchant for C.Q.I. - Constant Quality Improvement. As manufacturing processes and material availability improves, so do the byrds.
The newest evolution of the Cara Cara has a full-flat ground high performance 8Cr13MoV blade. Shaped like a “comet” the hole in the blade symbolizes quality and careful manufacturing tolerances. On the blade’s spine is a group of crosshatching called jimping. Jimping enhances the thumb’s grip on top of the blade making cutting slip-resistant. Available for the first time with a four-way clip that carries tip-up/tip down or left/right-handed, it attaches inside a pant’s pocket where it rides deep and confidently. A finger choil enhances the ergonomic stainless steel handle adding comfort and control. Mid-positioned back lock has a David Boye cut away dent, a safety feature that allows tightly gripping the handle without unintentionally releasing the lock.
