Cockpit 100 Mission A-2 Lambskin Leather Jacket

During WWll, the "battle worn" look of a pilot's jacket reflected his bravery and it became one of his most prized possessions. The leather in our 100 Mission jacket is vintage lambskin with natural graining and surface characters which may look like irregularities but are not. These give each jacket a unique style and glory. As you wear it, the color will lighten and the leather will take on added texture giving it a more vintage look. It has Mil. Spec. A-2 detailing with no fiberfill or bulky insulation which makes this jacket perfect for all season wear and excellent for Southern climates. Features a woven equipment label in the lining, side entry hand warmer pockets and an interior pocket for wallet, MP3 or other accessories. Proudly made in the U.S.A.

Cockpit WWII Government Issue A-2 Jacket

The jacket General MacArthur chose to wear. In 1930 it was approved for issue to pilots. The original specs. called for horsehide. Today, we are able to supply military grade horsehide. It's as tough as nails and you'll notice the natural creases, folds and surface graining. These are natural conditions and not flaws in the processing of the garment. Details include top entry pockets with snap close flap, knit cuffs and waistbands, brass zipper under front storm flap, snap down collar with eye and hook closure, leather epaulets, underarm grommets for ventilation and an authentic russet brown cotton lining. Cockpit U.S.A.F First Reissue A-2 Since 1943 Jacket

Cockpit USA (formerly Avirex LTD) is the current manufacturer and supplier to the United States Air Force for its A-2 goatskin leather jacket. This A-2 is made of 100% goatskin and is made according to U.S.A.F. specifications dating to 1987 when the US Air Force first reissued the leather A-2 jacket working with Jeff Clyman now President of Cockpit USA, to update the older WWII specifications. Specifications include a soft but durable goatskin shell that is hand cut from at least five chrome tanned hides. Original features included are snap down collar with hook and eye, top entry pockets with snap close flap, knit cuffs and waistband. If you want your jacket true to size order your regular size. Cockpit Official USAF 21st Century A-2 Jacket

Cockpit USA (formerly Avirex LTD), the prime and only USAF government contractor for Air Force issue flight jackets now offers the updated current 21st century version of the classic A-2 Air Force pilot's jacket, made out of the same luxurious Mil. Spec. government goatskin as earlier A-2 versions. The Air Force life support division listened to their pilots' requests to modify the 1987 version of the A-2 to accommodate current needs. This jacket now offers a host of new features which do not detract from its authentic appearance but provide the user with modern day conveniences. These include hand warming pockets, underneath flap pockets, inside pockets for personal equipment and a special pen pocket inside to allow pilots access to these articles.
